SharePoint 2010 – Create Page

Everyone has heard, SharePoint 2010 is out, and there is so much cool new stuff here, even from Beta 1.

For example, take a look at the incredibly cool new Create page.

No longer do you have to go to several different pages to create new content; everything is now easily available in one single page.

Also, not the filters on the left side. You can use those to narrow down what content you want to create, using the new refinements in SharePoint 2010:

Now, you may think this is cool, but what will make your eyes water is the fancy animations and visual effects. Take a look:

Note towards the end that there is an category as well 🙂

  1. Hi,
I created a workflow to move a wikipage to a particular folder and set it to start on item's creation.
However when i create a new page, it goes to the page library and its workflow status shows completed(Not moving to the folder).
Then , on re-initiating the workflow on that page from its context menu, the page is moved to the desired folder.

But I want the page to be automatically moved as soon as it is created by a user. Please help….
Note:- workflow code written to move the page is working fine.

    Reply ASAP.
    Thanks and regards,

  2. Question:

Have you ever wanted to create pages in your custom document libraries in Sharepoint 2010?
When you click on Create Page under Site Actions, it always defaults to the Pages library.
why should you store the publishing web pages only in the inbuilt “Pages” list when you can have any number of lists enabled with “Page Content Type”.

Please let me know How to create new custom in sharepoint 2010 to store new pages
