Games that are good for you…

Ok, this has nothing to do with SharePoint, but it was such a great thing I just had to post anyway.

I like to play games. A bit too much, actually, which is why I cant do it. I simply have to avoid certain types of games as I just waste too much time.

That all changed last Friday when I found this incredible invention: Games that make you smarter.

There is this company called Lumosity that creates games that train your brain. Basically these are mind exercises that are disguised as games to make training more fun. You get a wide variety of games, grouped together in sessions that take around 5 minutes to complete and that are really good for you.

Here’s something from their website:

Lumosity users have experienced:

  • Clearer and quicker thinking
  • Improved memory for names, numbers, directions, etc.
  • Increased alertness and awareness
  • Elevated mood
  • Better concentration at work or while driving

Honestly, I would suggest you add ‘addictiveness’ to that list. But hey, if you get smarter, I’m all for it.

They do have a free trial and their monthly plan is just a few bucks. Click here to sign up and be a brighter person.
